"Fell in love with a girl,
fell in love once and almost completely.
She’s in love with the world,
but sometimes these feelings,
can be so misleading."
- Fell In Love With A Girl, The White Stripes
"Don’t be afraid to be a fool. Remember, you cannot be both young and wise. Young people who pretend to be wise to the ways of the world are mostly just cynics. Cynicism masquerades as wisdom, but it is the farthest thing from it. Because cynics don’t learn anything. Because cynicism is a self-imposed blindness, a rejection of the world because we are afraid it will hurt us or disappoint us. Cynics always say no. But saying yes begins things. Saying yes is how things grow. Saying yes leads to knowledge. “Yes” is for young people. So for as long as you have the strength to, say yes."
- Stephen Colbert
n. [Brit. wallesia] a condition characterized by scanning faces in a crowd looking for a specific person who would have no reason to be there, which is your brain’s way of checking to see whether they’re still in your life, subconsciously patting its emotional pockets before it leaves for the day.
"Jesus don't love me, no one ever carried my load.
I'm too young to feel this old."
- Cold Desert, Kings Of Leon
"I’ve been a bad, bad girl,
I’ve been careless with a delicate man.
And it’s a sad, sad world,
when a girl will break a boy just because she can."
- Criminal, Fiona Apple
"Don't waste your youth growing up."
“The imagination is not a state: it is the human existence itself.”
— William Blake
You can, you should, and if you’re brave enough to start, you will.
- Stephen King
"Love itself became the object of her love. She loved herself in love, she loved loving love, and was able, in that way, to reconcile herself with a world that fell so short of everything she would have hoped for. It was not the world that was the great and saving lie, but her willingness to make it beautiful and fair, to live a once-removed life, in a world once-removed from the one in which everyone else seemed to exist."
- Everything Is Illuminated, Jonathan Safran Foer
"Well, it's hard to feel like you're worth something in this life."- Waiting For My Chance To Come, Noah And The Whale
